Nick Lamprey

Stage-Manager

Nick Lamprey
One day, Nick was minding his own business, working on his recently acquired camper out in the road, when his neighbour from across the way, Ray Sargent, walked over and said "that's an interesting vehicle; I bet it could carry a lot of equipment". Ray went on to observe that Nick must also be quite a practical bloke, what with carrying out his own repairs and so-on.

Nick made the great mistake of replying to the affirmative and very soon found himself with some dates stage-managing "Two Victorian Tales"!

When not a Stage-Manager, Nick works for "Connexions" (formerly the Careers Service) and undertakes various tasks for Social Services. This includes work with young offenders and assisting parents who are experiencing challenging behaviour from their children / young people. Nick finds that Stage-Management makes a refreshing change; being somewhat easier to identify what has been achieved and when the job is finally completed!

In October and November 2003, Nick took charge of the Stage-Management of "Two Victorian Tales" during the show's tour of Buckinghamshire rural venues, which was supported by
Arts Council England.
